Blow that horn all you want, but I don't think the water will get out of your way.

I don鈥檛 think the train went too far after the traction motors hit all that water, it probably just stalled and stopped

That鈥檚 something I never really thought about. So what happens when this does happen do they still travel? I wouldn鈥檛 know because the video was cut short.

only a fool engineer would go through flooded tracks that fast. Track washouts are not always visable.

avator

This train shouldn't be going this fast (just like a driver on the road). How do you know if the tracks are still there? (or if a road or bridge is still there?).

avator
Barry Crosby

Wouldn't they need to be inspected

dangerous for the engineers. that much water will soften up the ground & loosen the Ties and allow the rails to shift, which could cause a derailment. Prayfully everyone gets to their destination safely

Where's the rest of the video? You don't have a career in Hollywood, so don't give up your day job... 馃檮

nothing happens similar to when a car drives through water puddles it just splashes. unless the water washes the dirt and rock out from under the rail then the train will derail

if this happened to us we would have to stop before the water call dispatch and if given permission proceed at walking speed until rear of train clears the water and report back to dispatch
