I was a crew chief on a hot air balloon team, for several years. First, it goes without saying, that ground crews should always practice situational awareness. That includes knowing where the ground lines are. I have one big question though. That balloon couldn't have lifted off without heat to the envelope. There was no pilot in the basket. There was nobody to fire the burner. Was this staged?
