The kidnapped people on the Amestad did go to a court, not the Supreme Court, and were allowed to return to their homeland. However, slavery was NOT abolished at that time. It took a Civil War and Lincoln to abolish slavery in the middle 1800s. The South may not have "started" slavery, bought they fought like hell in the Civil War to keep it. Before you spout your watered down history, understand your facts, that this history IS taught in our schools. Not sure where you get your info.

We don't care about slavery in other countries. Slavery was the economic engine of the south until 1866. Then America continued Jim Crow laws for 100 years. And continues to this day practices that hinders minority voting, education, housing and employment.
