I'm a dog owner and I absolutely love my dogs. Like any responsible dog owner, I've trained them to respect me and to obey. I am the Alpha in my home. However, if the day should come that one of them growls at me with intent to harm me or just "show me" who the new alpha is, it is the same day that I will reconsider allowing them to remain in our home & figure out where "I" went wrong and why ask myself did their feelings change for me? Why did my dog decide to angrily and aggressively growl at me? If I can't honestly answer that, I need to re-home the dogs and never own another one. You can domesticate a dog so much, they are not humans. At the end of the day, they are still a dog. You as the owner may need to re-train yourself.

the reason the dog kept at it is because she was petting him, which for the dog's view his actions are good and with the petting he thought he was doing the right thing. when I train dogs, I avoid petting the dogs when they are showing aggressive behavior

this is old the dog was not growling at her , she didn't know it at 1st but her abusive ex was outside her window and Bishop saw him n that's who he was growling n barking at . he was protecting her. they never show the entire incident

I don't understand pits. I have a friend with one and that dog was very protective of my daughter that didn't even live in his house. We noticed that when she was around, his dog would always pay close attention to her and didn't really like people bothering her! He growed at my friend for picking her up and the dog was his!🙃

it's most likely because the dog was abused my someone at some point so much that it isn't letting anybody else even get verbally aggressive with it. my brother's dog that I am taking care of while he is in prison also named Bishop is that same way. if you yell at him hit him make him feel threatened at all or like this person said he encountered somebody he feels threatened from or does not like get a bad vibe from he will act this exact way. with straight aggression. because he does not want anybody hitting him anymore. or hitting the people he loves. my sister was telling me to get rid of him because he almost bit her. I told her he is about to bite you because you are hitting me.

We had a big American Pit and when he started growing into his manhood he became an issue with me. I was in bed asleep,Sammy jumped onto my legs,wouldn't let me move. My husband stepped out for a few minutes. I had to yell for my husband to remove Sammy asap . I told my husband he's becoming grown,wanting to mate. He needs to realize he can't do me that way. Well he started getting more aggressive even towards my husband. He went outside to feed Sammy and while my husband was feeding him , he took my husband's arm up to his elbow into his mouth. My husband said Sammy boy that's it.Me and my daughter cried but he did what he had to do.🙏 Prayers that this lady got control of this dog. 🙏
