These truck drivers are very skilled at moving huge shipments. I would have wrecked just starting out. Truckers are awesome and they are those who keep the USA moving.

These heavy haul truck drivers are truly professionals. Permits must be obtained by measuring, weighing loads on truck and trailers and obtain routings. If you see flashing lights behind and in front of big loads, respect the driver and his/her escorts as well. The load the truck is carrying may be to your benefit in the future.
Most comments are about the screaming. yelling, shouting. I have found that by turning the volume on my phone way down to mute. I can't hear that yelling. screaming and stuff so I have no reason to comment on it.

I just recently took a road trip with my daughter and we had to pass several trucks carrying these big windmill blades and by no means are they pleasant to have to drive past at high speeds. I can say we were in no way freaking out like these people were. Yes they are gigantic, yes they are very, very close to your vehicle but you losing your shit does not help and out only makes things much more dangerous and unpredictable. Most drivers transporting them know what they’re doing and are able to maneuver them safely down highways. I’ve only ever seen one video where a truck either pressed his luck with a train or was stuck & the train caught a portion of the blade that was still over the tracks but it decimated the blade and the train just kept barreling through like a bullet.
Truckers are the best. My dad drove an 18-wheeler for years and had a perfect driving record... I have lots of respect for truck drivers. 🚚

the put a pilot car in front and following the trailer to spot obstacles and clearance issues. The trailing one has a radio control to steer the rear trailer wheels during turns. the following car is a 2 team concept, 1 driver and the passenger controlls the trailer wheels when. needed.

We steer the rear of the trailers with a remote control, which is paired up with the pony motor on the rear of the trailer. We just did Whitewater in the Palm Springs area with 74 meter blades (250'+). There are much larger blades, but I have never steered over a 74 meter. Most parts come from China and are shipped to San Diego them moved to Mojave Airport lay down yard. Eventually transported to Whitewater for final location. Each blade costs about $3 short of $1,000,000 & there are 3 on each tower. About $997,000 each blade. They are estimated to produce about $200,000 worth of electricity over their lifetime & windmills cost about $10,000,000 each by the time their up & producing. But the tax writeoffs are hugh for the very wealthy! The People get the screw job while the rich get beautiful writeoffs. Money for Nothing and Chicks for Free is only a song by Dire Straights, but it's not reality :( Such a waste! Trump 2024!

I used to work for a crane company that built those electric windmills all over Minnesota and northern Iowa. If you think it's crazy passing a single blade on the hwy, you should try putting those pieces together 2-3 hundred feet up in the air! If you don't like heights and the wind blowing your man-basket around while you are trying to put that thing together, then erecting windmills is not for you. Full disclosure, the first few times I went up, my knees felt like they turned to jelly or rubber. I didn't get scared until I got up where the breeze was blowing, and that's when my body said, "Nope!" 😂😂😂
