Truck hits bridge in Dolgeville,NY

Was talking to my buddy up the street when it happened. I didn’t care enough to check it out cuz it happens every other year. Long steep hill before the bridge and sharp corner just before the bridge. Trucks brakes failed and swerved by a car that was at the stop sign on the bridge. He handled it well. Lady and kids in a car were severely injured with spine damage but it could have been much worse. He could have plowed through all the cars (there were 3 or 4 at the intersection) or he could have plowed into the Stewart’s parking lot taken out the pumps starting a fire and taking out the cars parked possibly hitting the store. I won’t say it was best possible outcome because of the ladies and her kids injuries but like I said could have been much worse. Hope the people in the accident heal fast and that no life changing injuries pop up from the spine damage

Yeah, these stupid truckers that follow their GPS and don’t actually know how to drive truck keep destroying these little towns. these trucking companies need to be held accountable and pay for the property damage that they cause from their negligence. I don’t think it should be on a taxpayer.

What a dumbass truck driver. As a driver when you see a bridge like that you know you can’t even cross it empty because it is too lite.
