Officer was completely in the right, but he made one major mistake. He asked him whose gun it was before reading him his Maranda Rights. He was being put in cuffs. At that point, he can’t ask him any questions. Violated his rights. Case dismissed.
Automatic 10 years in jail if the gun was not registered to him and another 10 for concealing it. Run the gun, and if it's stolen or used in a crime, another 10 years.
