gee really, I have been saying that very thing for years, especially after Thurman retired from here at 99 yrs old, nobody & I mean nobody needs or should be allowed to get that old & still be politician, term limits should be 4 terms in the house 2 terms in the Senate, we don't put these people in office to make a lifetime career, we put them in there to do our business, not theirs, we need to keep fresh ideals in those chambers, with the current old foggies in office now we are not getting our moneys worth, get a picture of the house, most of them are as old or very near my age, I'm 80, there is no way these guys have new,fresh ideals

We do need term limits and we also need to stop career politicians. The reason for the short terms is because the people who are elected to be our representatives were supposed to be people who represented the people where they lived. They were supposed to be business owners and community leaders not just politics. We should have people who actually live in the same community as their constituents. This is why history is important so people know how things are supposed to be done.

I'm 75, and everyone I worked with still knows how to use email and attach files and connect to wifi. it was my mother's generation that didn't. if she were still alive, she'd be 102. I retired at the age of 59. I can't imagine working longer than I had to.

That's why I'm all in for term limits. Things changes in people lives and the older congress people doesn't want anything to change. They don't change their messages or their platform. What they doesn't understand is they're old and the younger generation doesn't like the old congress people living in the past. They just try to dress it up to sound good and it's not good for the country.

People that are physically working, laymen, using their body are expected to retire at 70. These politicians that do not use their body, only their mouths, should retire at 70 also.

I have been very vocal about term limits for congress. Also let's make bills have a line item veto for president so bills that have a lot of pork (favor for giving money or pet projects) so the good parts of bill can be separated from bad.
