For everyone asking the question what race, because he kept getting in his car and was getting ready to leave! The race and the description of the car is very helpful in making sure they get the right person! 🤦♀️ if you’re gonna make comments at least listen to what is being said..
All information is vital to give to the arriving officers so they can immediately drill in on the suspect so it doesn’t matter what race you could have two people there with the same outfit on one black one white you want to make sure they drill in on the right person

What a shame. I would have shot him too. I read he was on drugs. Probably thought he was bulletproof & super strong (could have actually been really strong). Have read where people have so much drugs in their system, that after being shot, still kept coming). Drug are bad things to do. 🙏 for the family. Glad off duty officer was able to do what he needed to. Wish the guy had listened.

Well, he kind of laid it out on the line exactly what he was doing. He gave the guy plenty warning of course when you’re thinking crazy warnings or nothing I take it a shot the guy.

The man that was the aggressor’s name was Matthew Hollgarth. The off-duty conservation officer’s name was Doug Wolfe. This happen back in 2012 in Decatur, IL. The full 911 call is 8 minutes long and ends with Matthew kicking open Doug’s door, while telling Doug to shoot him, then aggressively moving towards his girlfriend who is cornered and Doug shooting him once in the chest. Once he’s shot, he stays down, and Doug describes him to the 911 operator as gasping for air face down. The police arrive seconds later and the 911 call ends. Matthew succumbed to his injury. Doug was not charged with anything, as this was deemed self-defense and home invasion (and rightfully so).

Love that he stepped up and helped her. So many times that somebody could’ve saved me and didn’t. They would stare in awe at everything he would do to me and continue on as if they saw nothing. More people need to step up and speak up when they see something they know isn’t right. If you wouldn’t sit and watch it happen to your daughter, sister, mother, whoever.. then you shouldn’t sit and allow it ever.

They ask race because it’s to help identify the perpetrator. They also ask how tall and what they’re wearing. Hair color etc so they have as much identifiable information as they can. They ask the same questions when someone goes missing for as to identify the victim.
