I love when, part way through the video, it says, "without warning, a large piece of the cliff fell into the water". Ummm… wasn’t all the initial dirt/debris pouring down a pretty clear "warning" 🤔😂
I'm telling you this is why you don't walk amongst bluffs or anything like that and a river this this s*** will fall on you and it's like a ton of dirt you will be buried and if no one's around to watch it you're screwed
I saw a bunch of cracks before all that started. Never mind, it was my phone screen
and that's when you get out your GOLD PAN, get over there, start checking stuff out....Swirl Away Merrill, Swirl Away.......TRIVIA: 😀 "For those who know" No Cheating! Lol
Without warning? The cliff was supposed to shout “ hey I’m about to collapse look out”??
that'd be good place to go look for dinosaur bones and gold. LOL
It’s gonna be quite alarmingly when the coast line starts swallowing all those multi million dollar mansions If this is any indication of what’s coming being so far inland 😳😳😳🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Bravo to camera operator for not freaking out till the end and keeping the lens on the action and what we needed to see. Usually people move their camera all over the place! Great job!!!👏
Displacement, moved water. Who would have thought? Valving glaciers...same thing!
maybe this needs to be shown to all these people who insist on building homes on cliffs!!!!
this was the van dozen river and it unfortunately changed the landscape at a very popular place for families. it was really cool to see though. swimmers delight is still a cool place to visit and habe fun.
I'm glad you're safe. Catching something like on film is phenomenal.
well there goes California into the ocean see you later you'll become a part of China now no wonder so many of you are heading to the east coast especially right here in Maryland Christ damn
that's God's way of telling California they need to change their ways he will destroy the state if need be
They had to take their camera and run which misses the undersurface of the stone, showed a façade of the Virgin Mary, as if built by a famous sculptor!
scary. you were at the right place to film this. unbelievable.
And people still walk to the edges. Not me!!
gravity at work
Water is powerful! Erosion is powerfully!!👍🏽👍🏽
That’s kind of what’s happening to my face every birthday! 🫣🫤
The earth is trying to tell parts of California something. I hope they're listening.
And there goes California slowly but surely 🤣
It’s called erosion you moron! Nothing odd happening there.
So much for a peaceful walk in nature...
yikes!! I go to this area every summer!
Yes without warning “ , that’s what usually happens
We all know mother nature gives us a warning shot before they she fires away
I'm from Humboldt county ca.. that's insane
Yup. That’s pretty much how nature works.
Calf-high is not a tsunami, mini or otherwise: tsunamis kill massive numbers of people, damage unimaginable amounts of property, and in the case of Fukushima, cause a nuclear meltdown that is still a huge ongoing problem. A sharp wind is not a hurricane, and this, in the clip, is a muddy WAVE.
I saw something pretty similar once here in Santa Clarita California. Back in the days where rain was very constant in the 90s
isn't it funny how liberals are always startled at nature doing what nature does and then the scream climate change?
oh good grief, this is so old! No big deal on this part of the river.
🫢😳wow, thankfully, the couple was safe😮
Was the Cliff suppose to tell you? Lol
i can see them having a video device or camera while walking on a trail. Animals and nature are a natural wonders in themselves. I dont think the hikers were expecting this though. im glad they had their camera.
HOLY CRAP! 😮 I had a friend in elementary school whose family owned a small beach house high on a cliff on the Oregon coast. Most times when they went, they would invite me along. It wasn't actually on the cliff but apparently close enough. We got there one Friday afternoon, and the house was gone. It had happened just the day before, so the authorities hadn't had time to contact my friend's family so it was quite a shock when we got there. On a positive note, there were about a bazillion stairs leading down to the beach. The house was lying on the beach in a pile of rubble. I told my friend, "At least we don't have to walk quite so far to get to the beach. 😆 I'm glad her parents laughed and agreed. lol
yep. makes you wonder how many people. animals. things that disappeared. That would hurt. one way or another.
this is why you don't walk them around bluffs this stuff happens all the time that sand will fall on you and it's a couple of tons of f****** dirt and it will you're you're screwed if ain't nobody see you you're screwed
Beautiful. But...people need to just realize....EARTH has been around a lot longer then us stupid humans. It will adjust itself, give it time.
l worked as a park ranger at this park Van Duzen County park for 3 years 1973-1976, this is the main beach and swimming area called Swimmers Delight, a favorite place to enjoy a picnic and swim during the summer ☀️
So I do t know if a tree makes noise when it falls and no one is around , pretty sure parts of rock cliffs do .
The plates are moving. The earth is a iving thing. We'd do well to heed these signs and stop building on sand
if you live on a fault line, you could see this when The Big Earthquake happens.
It's the wildest thing I've ever seen
"a mini tsunami" ... you mean a wave?
They just happen to be filming at the exact time and place of this incident that was supposedly “without warning”.
😲😲😲
the dirt and rocks falling into the river in the beginning WAS the warning! derp!!
the end of the world 🌎 is near
California is ready to go into the ocean
I suppose they couldn't get in touch in time for that support group 😕
I'm scared to get close to anything like that
California, tumbles in to the sea.!!
Run Forest, run!!!
Well, we got about 2 inches of rain yesterday so there's a reason to stay away from the cliffs. But nice video anyway. It's beautiful up here
