Back years ago , a lot of cops would do that. I remember a few time in the mid 70's when I was a teen with a attitude, getting my ass kicked by cops, then they'd drag me home and I'd get my ass kicked again. Nowadays they arrest you and you got a record the rest of your life.

Well, about 30 years ago I got stopped by a MSP and I was drunk and I was white and the officer was black and I would have deserved the ass whipping he was going to give me if my uncle didn't talk him out of it. Now I just identify as a human male. I'm ashamed of the way I acted to that officer. Booze in a young man with a big attitude and a bigger mouth isn't good and it was by the grace of God and the patience of that officer that I didn't get stomped. So if you're out there Mr. Michigan State Policeman from the Allegan county MSD I want to thank you for not shooting me or knocking my ass into next year. And I really am sorry I was the wannabe racist white punk that I thought I was in my drunken and brain fogged youth.

I was a LAPD officer in 1963 didn't last long. duked it out with a 300 lb somioan woman. fair fight. I never lost a fight as a police boy and navy smoker fighter. she didn't pull her punches fought fair and beat the CRAP out of me. Impressed the he'll out of me we both smiled and went our separate ways. left the police job shortly after wasn't up to the physical part. LOL

The officer let his training just go out the window when he chose to box and take his vest off. Suppose this subject was armed or the officer broke his hand and got his fitearm taken. In no way could he explain his actions.

Ridiculous. Professional fighters do not accept random fights. I recall a guy arguing with a female. He slapped the young woman, and she unleashed a vicious attack! The young man had slapped a Professional boxer! He was knocked unconscious! As a cop ,I had several fist fights with suspects. My body armor and superior fitness gave me a distinct advantage, along with MMA training. Nevertheless, I never accepted fights, too many unknowns, including the presence of the police firearm. This was very unwise.
