I feel safer knowing all my grandchildren attend schools that teachers carry, some of these teachers I've known for 25 yrs (before they became teachers, when they were students themselves) oh and also have a couple of sheriffs deputies in the buildings as well

Put this in all schools. back when I went to school in the 80s and '90s they had metal detectors and police officers at the front of the schools and no one was allowed to come through unless they went through d metal detectors. GUNS EQUAL SAFETY WHEN USED PROPERLY, THE CRIMINALS ARE THE PROBLEM.

I live in new Mexico I went to school in New Mexico at one of the worst schools in Albuquerque New Mexico and no one carry guns .
All teachers should be trained in shooting a weapon! It could be life or death for these kids. Responsible gun ownership, and training is key to success! My dad taught me to fire different weapons at a young age, 8 years old! And of course I joined the USAF, married a USAF Seargent! We are avid gun owners, and passed it on the training and knowledge to our daughters. Please teach your kids the responsible way to handle weapons!

halaleuh some one is getting the idea that lives can be saved and the crazed shooter or shooters are going to be thinking twice about their stupid murderous action way to go New Mexico in my state it is legal to open carry or concealed it does have an impact on criminals there is less chance they will attempt any violent action and it is recommended to take a concealed weapons course also we have Hunter Safety Course they teaches the proper handling of rifles shotguns revolvers and pistols also to not shoot just randomly know your target I think more Conservative states should and would follow suit its not to make killers but guardings of innocence
