Last time China actually intended to invade Taiwan was 1958! China believes it is their territory since it was taken over by the KMT after fleeing the Chinese Civil War and since has had Democratic presidential elections! China has since held military exercises in accordance with international waters. America has always protected Taiwan. It is of strategic security and manufacturing with the aid of the United States of America. China realizes if it intends to invade Taiwan with its full force, America will need to be involved. China would face massive economic backlash if they seriously intended to do so.
Sure, his threats to annex Canada, Panama, and Greenland has pretty much given China the okay, and there’s nothing we can do about it.
Russia will take Ukraine,China gets Taiwan and USA gets Panama and Greenland it’s no secret and the it’s the art of the deal

Taiwan has a massive plethora of minerals/gases and exports of electronics and much much more! It would be prudent for President Trump to protect such assets! He’s a businessman, and this is strictly business, and it would be very, very bad business if he neglected Taiwan! He’s already trying to make China pay. It’s due with tariffs! I doubt very much he wants China to take over Taiwan.
It’s not a believe that China is going to invade Taiwan. It is China’s 2028 plan.
Taiwan is ultimately indefensible from an invasion from China’s mainland. Any suggestion otherwise is delusional.

I was stationed on Taiwan in 1972 spent 6 months at CCC Air Force base in Taichung and 6 months in Thailand. Taiwan was on alert 24/7 manning machine gun and anti aircraft positions around the entire base. Plus 2 fighter jets maned 24/7 in case China attacked so for at least 50 years they been expecting an attack great place at least back then very friendly people
