years ago the NY TIMES magazine (i think), published a very complete treatment of what experts expected in terms of international relationships between countries. if memory serves, it was predicted that the US, Europe and the USSR would become allies competing against China and Asia. I would like to see that article again to see what they got right, if anything. I dont remember when I read it.
