How about a reverse notch match cut at the bottom? What a waste of good chainsaw gas!
so the point is to make a simple hinge cut into something complicated that take five times longer and gets the same end result?

It's always great to look out at a beautiful forest and see 4' stumps. If you can't bend over and cut down a tree leaving a short stump, give your saw away and stay out of the woods.
Nope failed the hinge cut it designed to "keep" the tree in the hinge . Not break away from it . To much time wasted for exact result of pie and back cut 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
