Interacting with an elephant was one of the most spiritual experiences I’ve ever had. When working at a wildlife sanctuary I also got to closely interact with the animal under whose sign I was born, the tiger. Wild, yes, needs utmost respect, yes, allowed me to place my forehead against his for a moment of connection, yes. I could feel his power, his wild nature and his joy. Probably the most incredible animal experience I’ve ever had. To hear his scruffing (a sign of joy and contentment) gave me chills.
