if you don't live there then you truly have no knowledge of what's been said they're speaking about the change that white people have made basketball courts are replaced for tennis courts playgrounds was replaced for dog parks neighborhood recreation centers where kids used to go to enjoy their self and be kids no longer exist now they have to sit on the front porch with nothing to do and that only lead to chaos weekends used to be house parties but no longer because they say the music is too loud so it's not the people themselves it's the change that they bring with them that's upsetting because we live two different lives

Gentrification is real. This has been going on for 20+ years. Trying to take over. When they tried to shut down go-go music at GA Av. and FL Av. I was really taken aback. How dare they try to erase DC history. And the other incident that blew my mind was when they wanted to turn HU’s quad into a dog park. Go do that at American U or the other white Universities, Georgetown or GW.
too late to complain now. they are pushing out those who have not been shot by us yet. we should have done a better job of making sure it was safe for all women and children to be outside at 3 in the morning instead of putting them on t-shirts and not snitching about who did it. blame all of the shooters in the community everyone looks up to. they did a wonderful job of eliminating the community so others could move in. tell the truth!!!!
