Ive seen both sides doing this after these drone attacks disable them. Not sure if its because they know more will come or what???
From his stand point it was take his life, be blown to pieces, or be taken as a prisoner. I’m definitely not saying he made the right choice at all just put it in perspective

Thats actually the first time ive ever seen someone get 2 shots off into their head during suicide. He even continued to empty the mag cause his trigger finger was clinched.
