I was on the range in Hawaii in the Marines back in the 90s. Range was hot. The range Staff NCOIC walks up to my buddy while he’s shooting and says hey your father is died (in Florida) I need you to clear your weapon and get off the fire line. It was gross, there are ways to break bad news to your subordinates. This isn’t one of them.
