We haven't fought a war for our freedom since the revolutionary war and perhaps WW2, if you think Hitler would've won and taken over the world if we hadn't stepped in, but he would've lost anyways. Every war and battle since has been a proxy war, political war, or an economic war, like Iraq and Afghanistan.

This wasn't a war for freedom. It was president Bush's war. I served in Bush's war. All we did was destabilize the region. If not for us, ISIS would have never been a thing. A million Iraqi men, women, and children has perished because we went in finding weapons of mass destruction, but found none.
I respect soldiers. Yet I don't exactly buy the whole "defending freedom" narrative. Especially when we're the ones invading other countries.
