We owe our nation's defenders so much, however they are treated like burden. It is a great and terrible shame on our nation. As a son of veterans I am truly grateful for the service and sacrifice given by veterans, service members, and their families!!!
Our veterans have got to start being treated better and get the help they need. They have to be allowed to adjust to their new surroundings as they transition from soldier to civilian.
It's nice to see that he also called the appropriate people to help him. I'm guessing from the salute in the background the gentleman has gotten some respect also.

I believe he should get all the help he needs. Too many American men,especially African American men came home from Vietnam to nothing! Most of them ended up in prison because they couldn’t find jobs or housing.

Why are our Veterans being treated like they are nothing?!?
This has everything to do with how these soldiers are treated when they get make from wars or tours everyone wants to blame Democrats or Republicans but it’s not that way!! My husband was treated very badly when he came back from Vietnam and he refuses to acknowledge that he was ever involved with anything to do with the military but his discharge papers says it all! We should do more to protect our soldiers when they get home and help rebuild their lives and families who don’t understand what they went through over there and love them and be patient when they can’t talk about it!! They may never be ready to talk or can’t by orders to ever talk about what went on so don’t pressure them just be kind, loving and understanding!!💕🌹
