Iran is significantly closer to Florida than to California. The distance from Iran to Florida is approximately 6,879 miles, while California is 7,300 miles. As part of the Eastern Hemisphere, Iran is much closer to the US East Coast than the West Coast. Iran has claimed to possess drones with ranges extending to 7,000 kilometers (over 4,000 miles). While independent confirmation of these extreme ranges is often lacking, Iran has demonstrated and deployed long-range, one-way attack (kamikaze) drones—such as the Shahed-136—capable of traveling between 1,500 and 2,500 kilometers (930–1,550 miles).
