What can possibly go wrong with a 50 year mortgage? So less equity, your mortgage will out live you. Just when you think Trump is at his lowest, he digs deeper.
Think about this for a minute. As the years go by & your income increases, you can pay more towards the principal & pay it off earlier than the stated term of the loan. Better to have some equity than rent & have zero equity!

You can take the 50 year mortgage and still make extra principle payments and still pay off in 30 years…but if you are having a difficult month at least your monthly obligation is lower.

you can always pay if off earlier than fifty years. I had a thirty and when my finances got better paid extra every month. knocked it down to 25 years. refinanced when rates got lower.
