Maybe he just wants everyone to know that he is an idiot.
Although I could be wrong about the following viewpoint. I would directly point my finger at the notion that he conveyed during his first term. "Covfefe". As a supposed word, it makes no sense, however. If thought of as an acronym. I interpreted it as "Cameras On Virtually For Every Free Exchange". Now, that could mean any number of things, however. I think (at the time), he interpreted it to mean that any communication between. him and his staff was to be ENFORCED as a narrative of either "private communications" or the notion (citing his own words "smart people do not like me") that he will undoubtedly go to war with anyone that could potentially decipher his coded communications. This in conjunction of not knowing how the internet (including features on his own platform) works, have ADDED to the debacle that he started back in 2016.
