Federal courts only have 2 weeks of funds. During shutdown, they will prioritize criminal cases first, and civil suits are in the back burner. Guess what? The challenges to ICE are civil suits. Trump deportations and firings will go on with no legal challenge. Trump has no problems with a shutdown. Every 750,000 illegal leaves is 1 seat in congress the Dems can not create thru the Census. So far, 1,600,000 self deported, 400,000 deported, and 600,000 immigrants chose not to migrate to the US. That is 2.6 million, which is 3 congressional seats.

LOL. Congress relied on the Omnibus process to pass bills that they forgot what would happen if the budget is not passed or extended by CR. When Congress passes a budget, they AUTHORIZE and fund the programs. Trump OMB researched the rules. If funding lapsed due to Congress, ALL the gov programs are no longer authorized. The POTUS has a wide latitude to cancel programs and layoff workers when that happens. Cutting authorized programs can be challenged in court, unauthorized programs is another story.

This allows states to obtain a greater portion of federal dollars through improper means. 5) Allowing Illegal Immigrants to Claim Medicaid ($6.2 billion) Eliminating restrictions on Medicaid eligibility for illegal immigrants would drive up costs for both the federal government and the states. Limiting coverage to citizens and lawful residents ensures that taxpayer funds are only directed to those legally entitled to receive benefits.
