Min. Wage jobs in my day were called starter jobs, like fast food, grocery stores, waiter, and waitresses these were never meant to be living wage jobs, they prepared you for the higher earning job helped you learn to save, pay a bill and maintain your bank account.

That’s what happens when you take minimum wage jobs! They’re not intended to support an entire family, as a matter fact, the minimum wage jobs used to belong to highschoolers, college students, senior citizens.. but now they’re taking by people who think they can support their whole family on it!
Modifying Minimum wage will not actually solve anything. It will provide a short term benefit, until businesses modify their costs for products and services, making it essentially meaningless.
Everyone knows when minimum wage goes up - Prices go up! It's a no-win situation! Independent, Local & Small Businesses will have to raise their prices, reduce their workforce or close their doors...

All politicians’ salaries should be cut and they should be paid $7.25/hr so they know and understand how we feel not being able to pay for groceries, rent, utilities, etc while they (politicians) make an obscene amount so they can take off whenever they want and spend it on whatever they want.
