So why not do this to people on SS disability? Veterans fought for this country and we are the ones they will take away from! This is ridiculous!
So many fake claims out there. I work with about 11 people, 8 prior military. All 8 get 100% and they are not disabled. I'm in the gym with them after work, and they're out here pushing heavy ass weight and running like it's nothing. Just a few out of a whole agency of many others. It's nuts. These payouts are not sustainable.
You can look healthy and be 100% disabled.

If you have high blood pressure and you take medication that controls it, then it isn’t a disability. Same with diabetes, thyroid issues and many other diseases. Same with sleep apnea and use of CPAP. If it eliminates your apnea episodes it’s controlled and not a disability. Disability ratings should be determined based on their functional impacts and not simply on having a diagnosis. The VA disability system has turned into “who can best game the system to get the highest disability”. That’s why we see veterans with 100% disability running fishing charter services and other full time businesses. I know personally of one soldier who received a 60% disability rating for plantar fasciitis yet he passed multiple APFT tests and hadn’t seen a provider for that issue in years. Thats ridiculous and a waste of money. The money should be used to provide medical care. That should be the primary mission. I know many will disagree with me.

Trumpf doesn’t support Veterans as you might think, just look how we are losing VA Personal doctors physicians and psychiatrists, and now federal lowering veteran Disabilities it’s a coverup to make him great for veterans in fact look when he says helping us veterans talk to your congressman and speak up !and now 🙏🏼going to cause convict with Iran, very Dangerous, and he gave them 10 days to demand what he wants, causing power and money to destroy future and present veterans, where’s Congress to decide any war conflicts and not or allow this President’s actions🙏🏼

medication is not going to cure worn down none and muscle and PTSD, how many pill a individual has to take. if the system can't pay for people's injuries from fighting war then there shouldn't be any wars. military contracts have been forfilled. this is what the veteran population get for being suckers and not going for what their owed. a veteran should be able to work a job they can handle and collect benefits they earned while in service. every one wants to scam money off the pain and suffering of veterans, just put the money in the veterans pockets .

Veterans have been getting screwed over for God knows how long. It saddens me that people fight for this country and get tossed once they're no longer valuable. I have seen several homeless vets on the streets and it shouldn't be that way.
Medication needed and cannot live without it is a disability . Chronic pain does not show up on medical test like Fibromyalgia for example but continued medicine is needed as it effects every day life.
It was just announced (02/19/2026) that the VA will not be implementing this rule after all. It was put on hold indefinitely. 🙂

So I guess a lot of veterans will stop taking their medication. So sad. This administration could care less about our veterans and active duty military. Dummy Trump already had his beautiful parade like a king. I think the Veterans in the future need to fight back against this administration and then Trump.

Disgusting! Take money away from politicians, start at the top and work your way down. Put term limits in place and allow them to have limited medical care, or better yet, load them up with pills and all the nasty side effects. Many they need to live on contaminated land, lay in the dirt, drink the water, shower and be exposed to all sorts of chemicals & poison. Dealing with all the illnesses that come from that for the rest of your life, but pulled from the PACT ACT. Sure, take more away from those that allow your damn freedom!!!!

The new rule won’t effect veterans already receiving compensation. It is really saying if medicine helps and then you shouldn’t collect the highest rating. Like PTSD almost every soldier I know put in for PTSD, or a muscle strain you had doing PT or a whole host of other things. My guess like PTSD, they say there is no real proof. problem is the government is following chat rooms where people are saying they only got say 10% for something and then people go online and tell them what to say and do to get there % up. People should keep their mouths shut.

Ahhh Back to the "Good?" ole days. I remember breaking my wrist two days before a final PT test. The Dr said, "Well we could cast it and you could take the course again OR you could take these pills until you can stand to do enough pushups to pass." I passed but violently vomited after the run....lol
