This is all about deferred maintenance on the levee failures. This is a local matter.
The state has been aware of the flooding problems in Whatcom Co. for years but has not come up with quality solutions. WHEN?

Infrastructure spending anyone?? I've got questions......I grew up in Whatcom Cty..why is that problem not yet solved? Seems this State likes to make groups rich doing studies for decades with no actual completed product........hmmmmmm. I wonder why that is? And now we have bridges that are closed because they are unsafe to transit, and levees that are not holding.🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

If you would've spent some money on preventive maintenance instead of building new things that you don't need you wouldn't be having this problem right now can't put this all on Ferguson but it is the Democrats in general who's been running this state for quite some time building new thing and not doing preventive maintenance on roads or bridges wasting money

Yeah. Right. Let me give you a tip re: the Gov's speeches: if his lips are moving, he's lying.
So King County used to have a Flood Control department. They maintained levers, flood control gates and ditches that caught overflow. That was phased out in the mid to late 70's. I imagine any county in the state had similar departments and the way things look now, all those departments were disbanded.
