Datacenters draw a massive electricity load on our Grid. Texas is a hot climate with a short water supply. Datacenters love beautiful natural areas with farmland. They come for the resources, Land and Water! They love small towns that give little pushback. People are more forgiving and accepting in small towns due to religion. They fatten the pockets of the City Council to get approved, while the community pays the price years after being built. Datacenters: use millions of freshwater per year for cooling, contaminate groundwater if not properly disposed of, cause air pollution from generators, cause noise pollution from exhaust fans, and cause electricity bills for residents to go up due to connectivity charges. The jobs created are short lived after construction. It takes a small manpower of employees to maintain them after. Very few common folk have the credentials necessary to gain employment. There is nothing good about them for Residents, the Environment, and Wildlife. All for💰!
