That means we are willing to give up our freedom to become a police state. why don't us Americans get travel papers next. maybe we could be like Germany after ww2. put up walls and barbed wire everywhere so people can't get out. you all are nuts thinking we need to militarized the police.

People from the suburbs will always be afraid to go to cities. It really does not relate to the safety status of cities. The fear of cities will always be there, regardless of whether crime is lower. The National guard will not affect most crime in the city that takes place in many different neighborhoods that they cannot possibly be covering.
No the police should do they're jobs and there wouldn't be crimes like it is now. Then again the neighborhoods want the Guard in because it makes the city and police force look bad.

All that bringing these guards in will do is give the Trump administration more power and leverage to take over the country State by State. The guards are not equipped in law enforcement. Maybe if the administration would do some constructive investigation on what's really going on in these Cities and the Trump administration stop listening to Steven Miller the problems could be resolved. Why don't they get all those weapons off the streets and stop giving people so much access to them.
