Of course you favor the higher paying members! What’s the point of a pricier membership without the benefits? Sort of like flying. Pay for coach, fly coach. Pay for business, fly business, which’s includes the perks you’ve paid for. DUH! 🤷🏻♀️ This also means smaller crowds for those with regular memberships, as they’re not impede by the execs.

Folks, this is nothing new and has been around since the early 90s when it was 10am-11am for Executive Members and and standard Costco membership members could enter at 11am. It just kind of fell off to the wayside over the years and now they’re bringing it back.
There are bigger things to be complaining about than this. If you don’t like it, you have a few choices: pay up & get the executive membership to enter at 9:00 am; stop whining and wait until 10:00 am; or just stop shopping at Costco. The ball’s in your court.

A one hour difference is not a big deal, a lot of places do this. If I pay more for a membership then I’ll take the perks. Some stores have specific hours for people with sensory issues. If I pay for a coach seat on a flight, I don’t expect to be able to hang out in the lounge area or expect to be seated in first class

If you pay for the exec membership and you spend enough through the year, the check that you get back at the end of the year covers the price you paid for the membership.
