It just seems so odd to me that the subject is cell phones when it should be thinking about these kids and their families. Seems like priorities have surely changed.
And cell phones are banned in Texas schools now, so those kids had no way of calling their parents! I'm sure the parents didn't find out until later!
Buses should be better equipped. Impact collision alerts to emergency authorities,360 cameras inside and outside of the school buses. Oh and let’s not forget the biggest safety instrument, seatbelts!!!! No seatbelts on school buses. Cell phones would not have prevented the rollover.

I have control of my grandkids cells. I monitor the usage during school hours. But they damn straight can call for help
I'm guessing unqualified drivers are driving these buses.
they don't want cell phone so kids can't video fights or teacher vs student or school officers for potential law suits. I think its a bunch of crap if not for some students videoing shooting or other dangers delays the notification of an emergency as a students phone maybe life/death situation. no we didn't have cells in my day but you also didn't know about most fights, teacher. violations or student violations. that I'm sure is the main reason cities isd don't like being sued.. money trumps safety way to often .
rather than looking to place blame, take a moment to pray for the children, their families, and the community.
They will most likely have to pay their own medical bills.

Same bus driver flipped the day before with the same kids . The reason why 58 kids all went to the er was because it was 2 accidents in as many day on their little body’s. Driver needs to be fired and learn how to drive . And don’t trust your kids in other people’s hands period.

I believe most school buses nowadays have cameras on them they'll be able to see if he was on the phone or he was nodding off or he just wasn't paying attention I'm just hoping to see what the outcome of this is and I pray that all the babies on board are okay and driver🙏

They need to slow tf down a school bus was doing 60 in a 35 with kids and I know because I was speeding to get the bus I’d num and I was going 59 to keep up smh bless those kids
I live part time in Hemphill TX and I can't tell you how their bus drivers speed. Two years ago one of their drivers backed into my mailbox.
