Lawsuit against the principal, as an individual, and then the principal and the school as a unit for their role in the inappropriate and frivolous, malicious involvement of law enforcement and the expulsion of my son as that goes on his permanent scholastic record. Lawsuit for appropriate recompense for emotional distress and the removal of that expulsion from his record. Additionally, I would have immediately removed him from that school, filed a formal complaint with my local BOE, and enrolled him in a real school. My child deserves so much better than that for a learning environment.

Having grown up in Miami Florida, I know what it is like to live in a multiracial community. It is a beautiful thing. This is something that many people in Tennessee have not yet learned, and they still are fearful and behave in a manner that reflects their fear. The police should never have been called on this man and his wife and their sons encounters should have been fully addressed to put a light on truth and justice.
