Looks like they’re on a farm, and set that trap out to deliberately catch this raccoon. They eat chickens, and are considered pests. If it were my son I’d probably just do it myself, but if that kid ends up taking over the farm, maybe it’s good that he’s used to having to dispatch pests. Just a thought.
