Horse hair worm. They also live in grasshoppers and crickets. But they go back to water to lay their eggs so the next unsuspecting hopper can digest its eggs and start the next gen. Cycle of life even if you are a worm. They do not consume their host. They just borrow it. Then split.

The horsehair worm isn't drowning. It takes over the mantis' nervous system and makes it seek out water. The worm then leaves the mantis to lay eggs leaving the mantis to die.
Imagine if those just infested all of us 😰🤨
