Freaking genius idea
This is a brilliant idea if the person is conscience. What happens then if the person stops breathing and can't grab the craft? I have too many what if's. However, still very genius invention.
good idea but when people are really drowning are they going to actually get through the panic mode and grab the device just asking because during my life guard days they usually panic and you would have to grab them from behind cause they could get pulled under with their flaying arm
We need a few dozen of these on Michigan and Superior. A lot of people drown in those waters!

Brilliant idea and device! A stronger propulsion motor as long as it doesn't shred the victim. It will need some sort of flashing beacon and exterior lights. Maybe a siren and PA to talk to the victim. then I think it would be complete.

Love the concept but it should take the lifeguard to the person in distress to help them and then be able to return with both. I'd love to see this idea help develop something more robust and possibly manned by the lifeguard.
