I'm really curious as to why so many people are butt hurt over the name. I truly thought that this post was about the rough season and the oil rig. Exactly how did Trump get brought into the picture because I don't see him anywhere.
This pic looks like the north Atlantic ocean...you'll never witness seas like the ones in this pic in the GULF OF MEXICO. The first time I saw the Gulf it was really cool....I had seen the Pacific ocean as a kid in California, first in Oakland then later on when we lived in the L.A. areas of South Gate, Lynwood and Huntington Park. You could smell the Pacific before you ever saw it, but that's not what the GULF OF MEXICO was like. The almost white sands around the Destin Florida areas were like walking on sugar....and even in the hottest parts of the day, the sand wasn't too hot to walk on....can't say the same for the Pacific beaches.

Looks like the North Sea instead of GOM. I worked in the claims department of a major offshore drilling company for many years. The men …and women that work on these rigs do make good money and they earn every penny. It is a dangerous job.

As a merchant seaman, we used to cross the North Atlantic and the storms would swell the waters over the ship. We lost containers in one big storm, I thought we were not going to make it. The seas are treacherous.
