When I was a little girl , JC Penny had a system where sales people didn’t do anything with customers money but put it in a little tube and send it overhead to the office balcony. There change was made and the change and receipt were then put in the tube and sent back to the salesperson. That was 65 to 70 years ago. Drive up windows at banks use the same kind of tubes in 2025.
