Many combat veterans don't join to fight for me, I know plenty guys tl who joined the military over the years that wouldn't lift a hand to help a single soul, many do it for themselves, the perks, the lifelong benefits, college and a career. God bless them, we need them but many nowadays join for themselves, its not World War II where people with families and good jobs are quitting to go join the military, for many it's either getting a job doing some menial task or joining the military which is steps better.
