Actually, he wants to feed your information into their system to see if you have warrants and make an easy arrest if you do. If he just looks at your ID that will reveal absolutely nothing about a crime. Many unsuspecting black men have been incarcerated because cops have violated their rights. But 1st, you need to know what your Rights are before you can defend them.

If you are law enforcement please help all understand this.How does his ID tell if he is the robber?Even if I assume this officer has a name for the alleged, why not ask him if his name is so and so?Yes, the kid can say that's not my name and still show no ID, but that would be an additional charge, once you prove he committed a crime. The other kid has a point, he too has red in his dreads, why not attempt to ask questions of them both?Lastly, If "red dreads" is all he has to go on, in a robbery suspect, (I'm going by what this officer said) Do you think it's feasible to stop all people OF ANY RACE, with red dreads?Why not present a detailed description???Since the officer engaged in a casual interaction, meaning the young men were free to talk with him, or not, why wouldn't he keep with policy and identify himself?He spoke with both young men here, so he was talking to him.

Years ago my son got stop by a state trooper. He was stopped cause Some one reported a robbery. My son wasn't the perpetrator. I asked the trooper what lead him to stop my son and he said the person had been described as a young black male wearing a red hoodie and black pants. My son is standing there in handcuffs wearing a white tee shirt and khaki shorts. After I questioned and pointed out the troopers obvious indiscretion he said, my son must have went home and changed clothes 🤡🫣🙄🙀. after he ran my son's name, he had to release him. Every time my son walked out of the house a cop would stop and frisk him. I guess they thought they would find something illegal on him. I put a stop to that. I had the community resource officer to my house. I informed him of what was happening with my son. I told him,,my son was between a rock and a hard place. City organized gang one side and street gang on the other. MY SON IS NOW A POLICE OFFICER. 2 MASTERS, CRIMINAL JUSTICE & CYBER FORENSICS💖🥰
