I saw this video, the cop was fired.
Some commenters on this page are truly ignorant. That young man's friends were in the moment. Obviously, you can hear the girl screaming. Those kids weren't using white privilege to influence the racist cop. They were concerned and sticking up for one of their friends. Maybe the white boy didn't fully comprehend that had he been black. They would have murdered him. At the least, he would have been shown why he should never interfere with racist police abusing their power on an inferior person. The screams and hollering are enough to move me to tears. They are yelling for the black boy not to resist because it will only get worse for him. Take the police man handling and abuse silently so u can see another day. I am a black, 51 y.o male. I have seen and been a victim to the police's abuse. No one can tell me this type of criminal act doesn't happen all the time.
I would have done the exact same thing. To this day, the most nauseating feeling and heartbreak for me about the murder of George Floyd were all of those civilians standing around watching him be murdered and no one stepped forward to push Derek Chauvin off of him or anything. I could never have lived with myself. And it showed me exactly how we have devolved as a society and given our power away to authoritarians who hate us.
