hope they got reprimanded, suspended (without pay), and sincerely apologized. they didn't apologize, they tried to rationalize their actions.
stupid cops no due diligence on officers' part. The fact is these cops should be fired. If they were in private sector they would all be losing their jobs. An after the event an apology is fucked up and not sufficient.
They should not have went into the wrong house of course they should have done more research. However, the guy should have came to the door and give them the information to prove that they had the wrong house. What is wrong with saying hey you got the wrong house I’m coming to the door. I’m open the door until you and show you. I’m not whoever you looking for. Everybody tell Officer they get the wrong purpose including the bad guys do you think the bag guy gonna say yeah just the right house and I’m the right person you looking for.

mistake or not, opening the door would have been the best option. Instead, they only perceive they have uncooperative people inside who may or may not be armed. Their first priority is to secure and search. While it may seem disrespectful, it is done a certain way to minimize risk to the officers and civilians alike.

That’s how the young black woman was killed and nothing happened to them, the police were at the wrong house as well. The system should start putting their butts in jail, teach them a valuable lesson on fact checking. If they don’t respect other officers what makes you think they’re going to respect you.
