that man is incorrect. stand your ground laws do not apply to people that break into your home. they have to be an active threat to your life. so if they just break in and don't have a weapon and aren't charging at you and you shoot them anyways, you're going to jail alongside the person that broke into your house. I'm not sticking up for criminals. I'm just stating the stand your ground laws since so many people seem to not understand exactly what they can and can't do. I do because I took a course on stand your ground laws with my firearms safety course.

I see why he thought they was apartments look at the house in the back it has a upstairs n downstairs n most apartments look like that them houses don’t even look like a house n apartments are always connected and have a upstairs n downstairs but a house is different cuz I did the same thing I thought it was a apartment and it was a different person in the house n they left the front door unlocked

this happened to me when I was living in an apt. luckily my bf was there. I went downstairs to take the trash out and my neighbors hood rat bf walked into my apt thinking nobody else was home and was walking around. my bf came out of the bedroom thinking it was me and chased him out. he claimed he got confused and thought it was his girl's apt, damn liar he was in there for over a minute acting like he didn't recognize it wasn't his girl's place where he stayed with for at least a year. I told the office about it and they told me a few other ppl in my building had had someone come into their places too with the same description. nasty bum.
