A DNR guy threatened my dad he would give him a stack of tickets, including not having a pilot's license since the entire hull of his boat was out of the water, if he saw him driving that fast again... and he was serious about it. Allison set the world record in huge swells for a 2 way standing 1/8th mile at over 112mph in 1988. That boat, in proper conditions, had a top speed of ~ 123mph.... IN 1988! We have had several boats that would run like this boat. It's not AI, it's just uncommon, takes a well setup boat and giant balls to accomplish 😅
