They are called Nutria. the U.S. imported tfem in fro. south America to combat plants that were clogging up the wetlands and watter ways. they are used as food and fur. in south America. they are jept in check by aligators in fl9rida but they migrate ... and now have no preditors.

Muskrats. Used to trap them when I was a kid. Skin them out and sell the hide for fur. Got around 90 cents a piece in the 60s.
