I grew up watching these guys. meadowlark lemon curly this was truly entertainment and it brought basketball back from the dead.. I actually witnessed a lot of this myself when I was a kid. I'm 65 now but I love these guys. the only thing larger than their talent was their heart..
I was lucky ballboy for HG, Memorial Coliseum-'78! Too, tired to relate, but a terrific story for anyone interested. I'll share馃槀
I saw the Harlem Globetrotters in 1963 and they were the greatest I鈥檝e ever seen with the basketball
I saw them with my twin in the 70's. I would pay big money to go back in time and see them all over again.
I used to love going to Madison Square Garden and seeing the Harlem Globetrotters play in the early seventies curly and Meadowlark Lemon were my favorite

IM 62 AND GREW UP WITH MY 3 BROTHERS and whenever the GLOBE TROTTERS came on all four of us be down on the floor with eyes glued to the T.V. I was a tomboy and I loved watching them. They put on some kind of a show. Truely amazing馃檹馃檹馃檹馃檹
I'm 75 and. watched every chance I could witness there talent and showmanship, there is a much younger group now, added females but don't have the same reputation as Meadowlark and Curly in those days. Please, please bring them back...
I got to go on court and be humiliated by Meadowlark in the 8th grade when they came to our school. It was great.

1970 played a all star pre game when i was 12 before the Harlem Clowns who came outta chicago in the 50s..same time as the Trotters... the Trotters had better marketing otherwise pretty much the same talent
