This is the view from what looks like 2nd or 3rd floor of the parking garage at the Beau Rivage Hotel and Casino. I-110 loop ends at Highway 90. This is a view to the West. Has nothing to do with levees. Mississippi got hit harder than New Orleans during the actual storm. Nola’s problems came in the aftermath when the levees collapsed. And that was HUMAN ERROR to blame. Pass Christian was ground zero. But of course NOLA was the squeaky wheel that got the grease. Mississippi was just the “land mass” between Nola and Mobile! Ask someone who remembers THAT?!
Gabriel is correct, that is the ramp coming off l-110 on to Hwy 90 in Biloxi, definitely Katrina since there were no casinos when Camille hit in 1969! No levee involved, eye hit Pass Christian & the MS Gulf Coast was by far the hardest hit. It was only because of how New Orleans handled the aftermath (the 9th ward, Coliseum disaster, poor planning/leadership) that it got more attention.

Rip to Our Old Ms Coast. All my childhood memories destroyed in less than 24 hours. It's good to see the Ms Coast booming now, though. It took many years to rebuild after the devastation of Katrina. Miss the small town Vibes from before.
