legally say I do not have a signed contract with you.They are a 3rd party who bought the debt for insurance purposes for the company you owe. They passed off the debt, doesn't mean you have to pay them. They have nothing signed with your name stating you agreed to pay them.
when they ask for me on the phone I tell them "the person you're calling for has passed away, this is no longer their number"
then once they send you that info you are verified and now owe them for sure
We got a bogus letter from a collection agency claiming we owed several thousands on a 5 yr old bill. Went to the original debtor - a hospital - who told us all our bills were paid in full and that they NEVER sent any to a debt collector.
😆😆😆 45 followers and someone will believe this?
They stop yes. But they also file a lawsuit against you immediately because they can no longer harass you by calling.
