HOT

In TN, it's been this way my whole life. Once on I-75 a procession for an officer came through and the entire interstate on both sides came to a standstill. It was beautiful.

My sister lived in NC when she passed away in 1995. I'd never seen this until the day of her funeral. It made my heart swell with pride for the sister I'd no longer see. Now I'm crying again just thinking about it 🕊

I don't think I've lived anywhere that doesn't show respect for a funeral procession by pulling over to let them go ahead to their destination.

respect is dying out. I remember my step dad's funeral. so many people just drove by and even tried to cut in the line it's sad. I was raised to pull over, take off your hat and say a prayer.

Growing up no matter town or state you lived in, traffic stopped for funerals. Some try now to move over to stop but with so much traffic now it’s almost impossible. I wish there were enough respect now to make people want to pull over. That will be each of us one day.

in Iowa, its optional. on the same side-pull over or stay out of the way, opposite direction-dont have to pull over(though most people with do the sign of the cross or bow their head to some degree, I personally do the sign of the cross and bow though im not religious)

Down here in the south Honey we ALL pull over to show our RESPECT. I understand that it's a completely FOREIGN ASPECT to some people, but here it matters.
