He arrived before first responders, so for all of those running their mouthes instead of learning the whole story, read about Nick Bostic. He was credited with saving five children from a burning house in Lafayette, Indiana. He was driving by when he noticed the fire and, upon seeing people trapped inside, ran into the burning house. He helped four children escape, then went back in to find a sixth-year-old girl who was still inside. He then had to jump from the second story with the girl to escape the flames. He was critically injured in the process. All children were safely rescued.
